These general terms and conditions of sale apply to stays provided by the Zoo de La Flèche and as described in the brochures and on the website  https://www.safari-lodge.fr/  and cancel and replace all other terms and conditions of sale published previously.

Booking stays at the Safari Lodge at Zoo de La Flèche implies express and full acceptance of these terms and conditions.

The client acknowledges having the capacity to contract, that is to say being at least 18 years old, being legally capable of contracting and not being under guardianship or curatorship.

The information on our Safari Lodge website at Zoo de La Flèche may be subject to change during the season (prices, exceptional closures, works), which are communicated to the customer prior to confirmation of the reservation.

These conditions may be modified in the event of exceptional promotion or during certain periods of the year, in which case specific conditions will be detailed in documentation specially published for that occasion.

General Terms and Conditions

Definition of the stay package

A stay package includes entry to the park for 2 days, accommodation for one night, dinner and breakfast.

Contract Formation/Reservation

A stay can be booked on our website https://www.safari-lodge.fr/ or by telephone, the latter is formed when a booking number is assigned.

Via the internet:

Check the calendars. When booking, please specify: the length of your stay, the number of adults, the number of children (including children under 3), the services selected, acceptance of the terms and conditions, and payment of the required deposit.
Confirmation of your order implies acceptance of these terms and conditions, acknowledgment of having read and understood them fully, and waiver of any right to invoke your own terms of purchase or any other conditions.
The Safari Lodge at Zoo de La Flèche will send an email confirming your booking upon receipt of the 35% deposit, paid by credit card, within 7 days of the payment date.
Your vouchers will be sent to you by email upon payment of the remaining balance, 45 days prior to your arrival date.

By telephone:

For telephone reservations, the agent confirms the reservation and provides the customer with a reservation number.
Order confirmation implies acceptance of these terms and conditions, acknowledgment of having read and understood them fully, and waiver of any right to invoke one’s own terms of purchase or any other conditions.
The Safari Lodge at Zoo de La Flèche will send confirmation of the reservation by email or post upon receipt of the 35% deposit paid by credit card or the full amount for payments made by check, holiday vouchers, or cash, within 7 days of the date of receipt of payment.

Your vouchers will be sent to you by email upon payment of the balance 45 days before the date of your stay.

Pricing

The prices listed are in euros, inclusive of all taxes (VAT). Any change in the VAT rate may be reflected in the price of the services.
The Safari Lodge at Zoo de La Flèche reserves the right to modify the prices displayed on the website at any time, however, the price indicated at the time of your booking will be the only applicable price.
The prices shown include data processing fees, the entire package (one night’s stay, dinner, breakfast, two days’ park admission), and the delivery of your accommodation vouchers.
When pricing conditions are linked to the age of the child(ren) on the day of your stay, proof of the child’s date of birth may be requested before or during the stay. If the requested documents are not provided, the adult rate will automatically apply.
There are no booking fees. Please feel free to call us for any further information.

Regulations

When booking your stay, you will be asked to pay a 35% deposit of the total price including VAT for credit card payments. The balance is due 45 days before your arrival date. If your stay is booked less than 45 days in advance, the full amount will be due at the time of booking.
For all other payment methods : check, holiday vouchers, or cash, full payment (100%) is required at the time of booking.
Gift vouchers must be paid for in full upon ordering (100% payment due).
If payment is not received within 7 days, the booking will be considered canceled by the customer.
Payment can be made by credit card, check, or holiday voucher made payable to Zoo de La Flèche and sent with your booking number no later than 7 days after making the booking to the following address:

Important: your reservation will be guaranteed and final as soon as we have received full payment for your service.

Accommodation/Product Features/Capacity

The lodge is available to you from 4 pm onwards and must be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure. However, you may arrive at the park on the day of your stay (please check opening hours on our website www.zoo-la-fleche.com to fully enjoy your stay at the Safari Lodge at Zoo de La Flèche).
The lodges offered are located within the Zoo de La Flèche park and are described in terms of their features and level of comfort by the texts, photos, and sketches on our website https://www.safari-lodge.fr. These sketches are as accurate as possible but cannot guarantee a perfect match with the actual lodge.
The lodges are equipped and rented for 2 to 6 occupants (including children and babies). It is impossible to exceed the maximum capacity for safety and insurance reasons.
If the maximum occupancy is exceeded, you will be charged an additional fee based on the rental rate for a lodge per adult.

Modifying your stay yourself before your arrival

Any requested changes to dates, location, duration, number of people, or family composition must be approved by our staff at least 45 days prior to your arrival and may incur additional charges. Stay dates cannot be changed for stays arriving less than 45 days before the scheduled date.
Please inform us before your arrival if you have any dietary requirements so we can adjust your menu accordingly. A €25 surcharge will be applied to any changes requested on the day of arrival.

Cancellation fees for your stay

All cancellation requests must be made in writing. Any total or partial cancellation, by the client, of all or some of the participants, will result in the immediate payment of the following fees as a cancellation fee:

  • More than 45 days before the start of the stay: 35% of the total amount of the stay package, corresponding to the amount of the deposit paid at the time of booking.
  • Less than 45 days before the start of the stay: 100% of the total amount of the stay package.

For any interrupted or unused stay for any reason whatsoever, the full amount of the reserved stay will be due or will remain the property of Zoo de La Flèche. No date changes will be possible.
In case of no-show, no refund will be issued.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable.

Insurance

For your accommodation booking, as payments are non-refundable in case of cancellation, the Park recommends that you take out cancellation insurance. You can do this online with an insurance company.

Good to know: if you paid for your stay with a MasterCard Gold or Visa Premier credit card, you will automatically benefit from cancellation insurance (in case of cancellation due to a problem covered by your bank > see reimbursement conditions with your bank)

Cancellation of your stay by the Zoo de La Flèche

In the event of an “orange” weather alert or other announced external events beyond our control, such as severe weather, storms, thunderstorms, black ice, snow, etc., management reserves the right to cancel your stay (even on the day of your arrival) for safety reasons. In this case, we will offer you the option to reschedule your stay for a later date within the next 12 months. If rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a full refund; no other compensation will be due (transportation costs, etc.).

Internal Regulations

Each visitor must comply with the site’s internal regulations, which are posted at the park entrance and inside the lodges. The Safari Lodge’s accommodation service reserves the right to expel any violator without recourse. Visitors expelled in this manner are not entitled to a refund of their stay permits under any circumstances.

Complaints

Any complaint relating to a stay must be sent by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt within 15 days of the stay to the following address:

To avoid any dispute, proof of visit, including the number of participants, must be provided with any claim.
Zoo de La Flèche provides its clients with the following telephone number: +33 2 43 48 19 14, for follow-up and inquiries related to a previous reservation.
The Safari Lodge – Zoo de La Flèche provides its clients with the following telephone number: cannot be held liable if the failure to meet the obligations outlined herein arises from an unforeseen event, force majeure, or the actions of the client or any person unrelated to the organization, execution of the stay, and the services provided.
Force majeure is defined as an unforeseeable and insurmountable event that prevents a person from fulfilling their obligations. It is an event beyond the control of that person or organization.

Insurance

During the inventory, if any damage is found (broken glass, damaged equipment, cigarette burns, etc.), your civil liability will be engaged.

Disputes/Applicable Law

This agreement is governed by French law.
For convenience, it may be translated into English. However, in the event of a dispute, only the French version shall prevail.
In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable agreement between the parties, the competent court shall be the one with territorial jurisdiction: the District Court of La Flèche.

Archiving/Proof

The Zoo de La Flèche Safari Lodge will archive order forms and invoices on a reliable and durable medium, constituting a faithful copy in accordance with the provisions of Article 1348 of the French Civil Code.
The computerized records will be considered by the parties as proof of communications, orders, payments, and transactions between them.

Responsibility

The Zoo de La Flèche Safari Lodge, in the online sales process, is only bound by an obligation of means; its liability cannot be engaged for damage resulting from the use of the internet network such as data loss, intrusion, virus, service, or other unintentional problems.

Personal data

In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access, rectify, and object to the processing of your personal data. This right can be exercised by writing to us at the following address, indicating your full name and address: Zoo de La Flèche, Safari Lodge, Le Tertre Rouge, 72200 La Flèche, France.
However, the authorized processing of information, including the management of users’ email addresses, has been declared to the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority) on 11 February 2013 and registered under number 165903 v 0, in addition to the provisions of Article X-4.
The Safari Lodge at Zoo de La Flèche reserves the right to collect information about purchasers, including through the use of cookies.

Animals

Our animal friends are not allowed in the lodges or in the park.

Valuables

In case of loss or theft, the Safari Lodge at Zoo de La Flèche cannot be held responsible under any circumstances.

Entirety

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale, the terms and conditions of the rate you have booked, the gift voucher, the booking request, and any specific conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties.
No general or specific terms and conditions communicated by you shall be incorporated into these General Terms and Conditions.

Internal regulations

These internal regulations set out the conditions of accommodation within the “Safari Lodge” located within the grounds of the Zoo de La Flèche Zoological Park. They apply to all guests who have booked one or more nights.

1-Opening and conditions of access

The Safari Lodge accommodations are available for booking every day of the year except December 24, 25, 31, and January 1.
Guests can access their lodge from 4:00 PM on the first day and must vacate it by 11:00 AM on the morning of their departure. During their stay, guests have free access to the accommodation area during the park’s public opening hours.
For security reasons, the Safari Lodge area is permanently locked at 6:00 PM (or 7:00 PM depending on the season) and remains locked until the park opens to the public the following morning (9:30 AM or 10:00 AM depending on the season).
Guests have access to the zoo’s visitor circuit from the Safari Lodge area as soon as the park opens to the public, which is 9:30 AM or 10:00 AM depending on the time of year. The gate to the safari circuit is opened using a code given to each guest upon arrival at the lodge; activation of the gate with the code is only possible during the park’s public opening hours.
If necessary, access to the park (including the Safari Lodge complex) may be restricted, either completely or partially.
All exits from the park are final, unless prior authorization is obtained from the gift shop or ticket booths.

2- Compliance with safety instructions

It is strictly forbidden to cross safety barriers and handrails, enter service areas and premises, climb on safety barriers or walls, or place children on them.
Prohibition, warning, and information signs must be strictly observed.

3-Fire Prevention

It is strictly forbidden to light any type of fire within the Safari Lodge grounds (campfires, barbecues, etc.).
All lodges are equipped with smoke detectors and powder fire extinguishers. Smoking is not permitted in the lodges. Ashtrays are provided on the outdoor terrace; however, please note that we are located on a coniferous plot and it is your responsibility to remain vigilant.

4-Evacuation

In case of necessity or on the recommendation of park staff, evacuation of the Safari Lodge area can be carried out:
– through the gate giving access to the park’s visitor circuit;
– through the service exit on the side of the service road.

5-Surveillance

Each lodge is equipped with an electronic locking system activated by an individual keycard issued upon entry to the Safari Lodge. When guests are absent, the lodges must be locked to protect personal belongings. The park accepts no responsibility for the theft or loss of personal belongings within the accommodations.
Children remain the sole responsibility of their parents. They must be constantly and attentively supervised, particularly to ensure they comply with these rules.
Unaccompanied children may not access the park’s visitor circuit alone.
Outside of park closing hours, the Safari Lodges are supervised by two resident wardens stationed on-site in the immediate vicinity of the lodges. One of the wardens can be contacted at any time in case of emergency via an internal telephone line.

6-Visibility of animals

Our animals are living beings. They are usually visible from the lodges. However, depending on various factors such as the weather, their health, or simply their behavior, we cannot guarantee constant visibility.

7-Respect for animals

For the tranquility of the animals, it is strictly forbidden:
– to run and shout;
– to hit the facilities, the windows or the fences;
– to excite the animals, to throw an object at them;
– to attempt to feed the animals.

8- Damage, deterioration of equipment and/or theft

It is strictly forbidden to damage or deface any of the Safari Lodge facilities: accommodations, fences, windows, and signs.
Guests are required to respect the flowerbeds and green spaces, and not to uproot, cut, or break any plants or trees. Guests are asked to maintain the overall cleanliness of the site.
A check-out inspection is systematically carried out by the park staff to prevent any theft or damage within the Safari Lodge site.

9- Introduction of equipment and prohibitions

It is forbidden to bring, possess or transport alcohol and any dangerous or illegal substance, material or instrument (weapons, dangerous objects or products, drugs) onto the Safari Lodge site.

10- Rules of good conduct

Pets are not allowed on the Safari Lodge grounds. Wheeled objects such as rollerblades, bicycles, scooters, and other vehicles (except strollers and wheelchairs) are prohibited.
Guests are expected to behave appropriately and respect basic rules of etiquette within the accommodation, in particular:
– to respect and ensure the peace and quiet of other Safari Lodge guests (music and television volume, general behavior, noise at night);
– to dress appropriately outside the private area of ​​their lodge.
Any inappropriate behavior (intoxication, noise at night) will not be tolerated.
